Ramsey Canyon Preserve
Ramsey Canyon is best known for is its birding, and more specifically, its hummingbirds (including the Anna's and white-eared hummingbird, among many others). In peak month, August, up to 14 species of hummingbirds zip around the canyon in large numbers.
Ghost Towns
Fairbank is a "ghost town" located within the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area (NCA), along the San Pedro River. Charleston and Millville were once described as "tougher and livelier than Tombstone," and truly became ghost towns by 1889.
